Leadwork

At West Country Tiling, all of our master craftsmen are trained and qualified as Heritage Gold Card holders of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme. All leadwork is carried out in full compliance with Lead Sheet Training Academy recommendations.

We believe that our roofers should be able to carry out his/her own leadwork, this way they can take sole ownership and responsibility for the watertightness of the roofing envelope.

Not only can we supply and fix milled lead sheet and flashings, but we also manufacture sand cast lead to enable to re-cycling of this very versatile material.

We have been producing our own sand cast lead since 2007 using our partially automated 7-metre-long casting table. This casting method allow us to provide  Code 6 to Code 10 sheets of lead. This enables us to remove any damaged or aged lead from the roofs we work on, before recycling it and recasting it, making it a sustainable product.
