As the festive season approaches, we want to take a moment to thank all our wonderful customers for your continued support throughout 2024. It has been a fantastic year, and we are so grateful to have worked with you on your projects.
We are especially excited for what is to come in 2025, as we welcome Chelsea Pitt, the third generation of the Pitt family, to West Country Tiling as Trainee Manager. This marks the start of an exciting new chapter, as we continue to deliver the same craftsmanship and care that have been the foundation of our business for over 55 years.
As we prepare to welcome Chelsea Pitt as a Trainee Manager in January 2025, marking the third generation of Pitts at West Country Tiling, we would like to reflect on our achievements in 2024.
- We completed the re-roofing of the Chancel of the Church of the Holy Cross in Babcary, Somerset, using stone roof tiles, showcasing our expertise in ecclesiastical projects.
- We collaborated with Jan Kerr and his team, bringing specialised stone masonry skills to our roofing projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship.
- We undertook the restoration of the Bay Tree Hotel’s stone slate roof. This Grade II listed building, dating from the 16th century and located in Burford, showcases traditional Cotswold architecture.
- We reroofed the old stable block at Bisham Abbey near Marlow, a 19-week project in collaboration with Oxley Conservation, focusing on this historic structure.
- We reinforced our commitment to employee well-being by becoming certified members of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). This initiative ensures a supportive environment where our team can thrive both mentally and physically.
These projects underscore our commitment to excellence and heritage preservation. As we look forward to 2025, we are excited about the new chapter Chelsea’s arrival heralds for West Country Tiling.
