Sand Cast Lead Manufacturing

In 2007, due to a shortage of local companies able to carry out this type of lead production, West Country Tiling started the development of a sand cast lead production facility.

Over the years we have continually updated and refined our production process to improve our efficiency and now have a very smooth consistent production-line. Our partially automated 7-metre-long casting table can produce Code 6 to Code 10 sand-cast lead in sizes to suit your requirements.

We are able to remove any damaged or aged lead from the roofs we work on, before recycling it and recasting it, making it a very sustainable product. Visit our Leadwork Gallery for photographs of our projects using a variety of lead working techniques.

Leadwork

Our master craftsmen are trained and qualified as Heritage Gold Card holders of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme. All of our leadwork is carried out in compliance with Lead Sheet Training Academy recommendations.

We can supply milled lead sheet and flashings, and we can create downpipes, hopper heads, box gutters, decorated rainwater goods, guttering and flat lead roofs. 

Additional Services

Our additional roofing services include providing scaffolding, stone masonry, carpentry and sourcing roofing materials to home owners, builders, developers and architects. 

Other Roof Coverings

As well as being experienced in working with leadwork, our roofing services also include working with stone, natural and man-made slates, plain tiles, oak shingles, clay tiles and  PV solar slates.
